As you walk down the streets of Canton, you will notice formstone cherished by some being removed by others to expose the brick underneath. Stain glass transoms - long ago covered with aluminium siding - are now revealed. New traditions are beginning as homeowners add ornamentation to their homes and decks to their roofs. These are ready for you to experience as you stroll through our neighborhood.
While Canton has been a commerical area almost from it's beginning, it had always had a tightly knit residential and social community. Much of canton's heritage still remains a true American "melting pot". Many of the nineteenth century rowhouses and churches still survive and with them a diverse community of people who, like their immigrant ancestors, believe the city is great enough to accomodate them all.
